Over the years, Swamp Press has amassed a large collection of type and border fonts, an amazing volume of icons, and a quantity of wood type fonts. Letterpress Things has been asked to process and market this trove of impressive letterpress “goodies”.

Inventory - boxed and loose - continues to arrive here at the Store for both in-store sales and online marketing. Processing includes sorting, researching and recording, cleaning, boxing and labeling, and finally, photography for website sales.

Follows here - photographed and shown with the orange background - are both newly cast fonts from Swamp’s extensive library of mats, and fonts from their large selection of more common, gently-used fonts.
Additionally - photographed and shown with the yellow background - are rare and one-of-a-kind fonts, borders, initials, icons, letters, etc. Most have been carefully researched and identified/dated to 1800’s foundrys and casting periods by Ed Rayher himself.
Selections are as seen, as retrieved, as rescued from being trashed/scrapped. Fonts may not be complete, condition can vary greatly. . . but these selections are known to be genuinely rare. . . they have provenance!
